Community Input Needed for Future Transportation Plan
Survey
The Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is seeking public participation in a brief online survey to provide input into Commitment 2040, a Long Range Transportation Plan for Broward County. The anonymous survey asks questions about daily travel experiences. Survey input will help shape the future of transportation in South Florida.
Workshops
Beginning April 23, the MPO is hosting public workshops throughout the County. The workshops will raise awareness of the Commitment 2040 plan and ensure everyone has an opportunity to voice their input and suggestions. For more information, visit their website.

Transportation Choices Chart
The Transportation Choices Chart (PDF) compares the estimated fares for 65 specific locations in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties for taxi cabs, shared rides, or luxury sedans. The fares are separated into colored-coded map zones to estimate a fare within that zone for other destinations not listed. It also offers information about the Tri-Rail commuter trains and Broward County Transit buses. The Charts are posted on the Transportation Podiums and on the walls near the terminal exits in the baggage claim areas.
Notice Regarding Estimated Taxicab Fares
Posted fares are estimates determined by the most direct route. Construction in and around the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport reroutes traffic. Actual fares may vary from estimated taxicab fares.
Accessing Ground Transportation
To access all ground transportation, follow the easy to read signs in the terminal from your gate to the baggage claim area located on the lower level. After you pick up your bags, go outside the terminal. You can make arrangements for a taxi cab, shared ride, or a luxury sedan car at any of the Transportation Podiums. |
