Forms and Information

All applicants must meet general eligibility and specific program requirements at the time of application.

Grants are awarded on a competitive basis and the amount available in any year is determined by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.

Grants are paid on a reimbursement basis, contingent upon a grantee’s successful completion of the project or program and meeting the requirements of the grant agreement.

The Cultural Division offers a variety of grant programs designed to promote the development of Broward-based not-for-profit cultural organizations, municipalities, and not-for-profit agencies that sponsor arts activities and enhance the cultural environment for the people of Broward County. Grants are awarded on a competitive basis and the amount available in any year is determined by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners. Definition of Cultural Arts

Any not-for-profit organization applying for grants must have a primary mission that meets the definition of cultural arts. (With the exception of applicants to the Design Arts Program, which is open to eligible Broward County not-for-profits such as civic, local Main Street organizations, or neighborhood associations, and governmental entities).

Cultural arts is defined by Broward County as any and all cultural disciplines, which include, but are not limited to, music, dance, drama, theater programs, creative writing, literature, architecture, painting, sculpture, folk arts, photography, crafts, public media, history, archaeological and natural science museums and the execution and exhibition of such allied, major cultural forms.

South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship Program  The South Florida Cultural Consortium, an alliance of the local arts agencies of Martin, Palm Beach, Broward, Dade and Monroe counties, assists eligible visual and media artists through direct grants awarded solely on the basis of creative excellence, to improve artistic skills and encourage career development.
