Lee Wagner Art Gallery

The Lee Wagener Art Gallery is located in Terminal 2 of the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.  Terminal 2 is on the Departures Level, which is a pre-security, high-traffic public area.

Lee Wagener Art Gallery offers Broward County artists an excellent opportunity to exhibit their work.  Artists are selected through the Public Art & Design Program and exhibits are changed every three months.  The far end of the gallery has been reserved for the exhibition of video artworks from Broward County’s permanent art collection.

Artist's Biography

Ruben Gerardo Ubiera Gonzalez, born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, is a neo-figurative artist, known for his strong use of the line, graffiti inspired technique/aesthetic, urban murals, mixed-media pieces and installations, all created with reclaimed-objects and found artifacts. He paints and draws in a style considered as post-graffism, but he prefers to call it urban-pop, since he has lived most of his life in urban, populated areas and most of his inspiration is derived from the interactivity between man and his urban environment. He lives in the City of Weston.

The Lee Wagener Art Gallery, supported by Broward Cultural Division’s Public Art & Design Program and the Broward County Aviation Department, offers Broward artists an opportunity to exhibit their work in a prominent, high traffic area. Artists are selected through the Public Art & Design Program. Exhibits are changed every three months.
