FLL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM IS SUNSATIONAL!

photoFort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Volunteer Ambassadors are trained in customer service to assist passengers with many questions they have about the airport facilities or services. The information they provide includes directions to particular airlines, gates, restaurants, internet services, rental car services, ground transportation, hotels and tourist information. They help support Broward County Aviation Department’s commitment to exceptional customer service. Volunteer Ambassadors are located in each of the terminals and can be recognized by their distinguished red jackets.  They introduce visitors to the spirit of the Greater Fort Lauderdale area: friendly, outgoing, and caring. They are diplomats of goodwill making a positive impression on the more than 22 million passengers traveling through the Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport each year. Anyone interested in becoming a Volunteer Ambassador can contact our Volunteer Coordinator (954) 359-2589.

Hollywooed Hills Elementary2Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the Broward County Aviation Department will host its 21st Annual Winter Festival of Music beginning on Monday, November 30 through Friday, December 4.

Approximately, 1,200 children from various Broward County elementary, middle, and high schools will perform throughout the airport terminals. Passengers will be entertained through song and dance. This annual event helps to entertain our passengers during the busy holiday season. We often see our passengers participating by singing along and sometimes even dancing.

The Broward County Aviation Department is dedicated to providing SUNsational Service and meeting the needs of our passengers. The Winter Festival of Music is just one way to do this.
