Airport Day

North Perry Airport celebrated its 55 year anniversary May 11, 2013. Airport Day brought aviation and car enthusiasts alike to North Perry for a day of fun in the sun.

Activities at Airport Day included:

  • Over 30 vintage aircraft on display from the 1940’s to the present.
  • More than 35 classic cars including a 1913 Model T, several cars from the 1930’s, and a 2001 
    Lotus Esprit (the same make and model featured in the movie Pretty Woman).
  • Kid activities including a bounce house, obstacle course, face painting, and train rides.
  • Over 30 aviation vendors including flight schools, fixed base operators, clubs, and the
    Transportation Security Administration.
  • Discovery Flights offered at $25 for a 15 minute flight.
  • Seven mile helicopter ride for $45.
  • Food vendors
  • Live entertainment
  • Antique fire truck
  • Bloodmobile
