Barbara Neijna attended the College of Art in Philadelphia, PA.  She also studied at Syracuse University, New York and Academia di Brlli arte di Brera, Milan, Italy.  Neijna has received many honors for her artwork including being a Tiffany Foundation Fellowship Recipient and National Endowment For the Arts Award.

Based in South Florida from 1962, she has produced a large body of sculpture ranging from small wall-mounted objects to monumental freestanding geometric forms. In 1996, the Center for the Fine Arts in Miami held an exhibition of her "interior landscapes".
