Graduate of the Maryland Inst. College of Art in 1942. She attended the Art Students League and Stanley William Hayter's Atelier 17 after moving to NY in 1943. She has had over 100 solo shows in the USA and around the world. Her work is in the permanent collections of numerous museums and corporations. She has been commissioned to do many Art in Public Places pieces and she has received many awards including the keys to 2 cities, AIA award, woman of distinction. She is a Woodrow Wilson visiting Fellow.
