Canadian born photographer Earl J. Simons selected the subject of Four Seasons to interpret the beauty of Nature. His view was presented in a minimal manner, almost to the bare essence for each season - a record of the passing of time. For example: Summer is depicted with a runner in a deserted beach. Fall murmurs in a wooded valley… This series of works are installed in the lobby of the Mass Transit Administration Building.
"Winter is depicted as a cluster of mailboxes almost buried in a heavy snow. The renewal of Spring is expressed as a pasture blossoming with wildflowers. A lone runner on an empty beach signifies Summer. Coming full circle, Fall whispers in a wooded glen with trees almost bare of leaves and golden stalks of hay grown high."
