Broward 100 Mural Project: Call to Artists
Broward Cultural Division seeks multiple professional artists or artist teams to design and implement nine (9) or more murals in celebration of Broward County's centennial, Broward 100 - Celebrating the Art of Community.
This Call to Artists is open to all professional artists who have resided in Broward County for a minimum of 12 months and have proof of residence. Artist teams may also apply, but one member of the team must be a Broward County resident. An artist is defined as a person who has created a recognized body of original works of art within an artistic discipline over a sustained period of time and who is pursuing this work as a means of livelihood and/or a way to achieve the highest level of professional recognition. NOT ELIGIBLE: current employees, consultants, board members, funders of the Broward Cultural Council or the Broward Cultural Division, or artists who engage in art work only as a hobby.

Broward 100 Mural Project: Call to Broward Cities
Broward Cultural Division would like the assistance of Broward cities and Community Redevelopment Agencies (CRAs) to identify specific, prominent outdoor locations for nine or more murals and potential partnerships with public and private entities. Broward artists will be selected for the project through this unique partnership among Broward Cultural Division, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Community Foundation of Broward, in celebration of Broward County's centennial, Broward 100 - Celebrating the Art of Community.

| Pre-Screened Artist Roster|

Broward Cultural Division’s Public Art & Design program seeks established artists for inclusion in a roster of pre-screened artists, to be considered for upcoming opportunities to create new artwork for certain County projects. Selected artists shall remain active for a two-year period. Artists that were selected as a result of the 2013 Call for Artists need not reapply.

|ART AND JAZZ IN THE RCC – National Travel and Tourism Week|

CALL TO ARTISTS
The Broward County Aviation Department is seeking professional visual artists who are interested in participating in the Art and Jazz in the RCC event being held as part of the National Travel and Tourism Week celebration at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The event, to be held at the airport’s Rental Car Center on May 7th from 6–8:30 p.m., is intended to thank visitors for using FLL by providing them with a relaxing environment filled with music and a chance to experience the work of our local artists.
A selection panel will review the applications received and will select up to 10 artists to participate in the event. Artists will be notified of their selection by Monday, March 31.

| Duane Hanson Allied Artists Program Pre-Qualified Roster|
Broward Residents ONLY Call, Location Broward County
The Duane Hanson Allied Artist Award Program was established in 1994 to honor internationally recognized artist Duane Hanson, who resided in this community and who was instrumental in encouraging the careers of Broward artists. Mr. Hanson served for many years as a member of the Public Art and Design Committee.
The purpose of the Award Program is to provide local artists the opportunity to assist experienced artists commissioned for major projects of $50,000 or more by the Public Art and Design Program, in order to gain the technical and administrative expertise needed to compete within the field of public art. Allied Artists are matched up with commissioned artists based on their level of experience, artistic medium and general interests. Pre-qualified artists who are chosen for a specific project will be compensated for their service as an Allied Artist.
The responsibilities of Allied Artists include, but are not limited to, coordinating and attending community and agency meetings; conducting research regarding materials, design issues, and building codes; assisting in the coordination and installation of artworks; writing reports, and any other duties requested by the commissioned artist that relate to the design, fabrication and installation of the artwork.
