February Is Heart Month
In addition to giving your loved one a Valentine’s Day gift, give your heart one too. This month’s wellness focus is on your heart. Cardiovascular disease is one the leading causes of death in the United States and February’s wellness events will center on improving your heart and ways to prevent heart disease and stroke. Scheduled events at a Wellness Resource Center near you include nutritional consultations, presentations on cholesterol and the symptoms and diagnosis of a heart attack.
Visit the American Heart Association website where you can find a wide range of information, including an online heart attack risk assessment. Learn Your Risk.
