This series consists of black and white photographs taken of Shaara during his lifetime. Most of the photographs show him either receiving awards or giving talks. The photograph of an autograph party at the University of Mississippi also includes his wife, Helen, who attended most of his literary events. Clippings, invitations, and other printed materials included with the photographs were retained within the file folder.
