English Café & Crossroads Café (English Language Learner Classes)

Designed for people who speak other languages, want to practice and improve English conversation, pronunciation, reading, and writing skills. Monthly, 23 branches offer approximately 200 classes to more than 2,000 participants.
English Café is designed for people who speak English at an intermediate level. In a casual classroom setting, participants practice English conversation. Focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar, the classes feature activities to enhance language skills, including discussions of newspaper articles, word games, role-playing, storytelling and improvised conversation. Basic English classes are available for low to intermediate speakers of English. English Café won the 2004 NACO Achievement Award.

Crossroads Café features videos/DVDs and print materials designed for intermediate-level students of English. The half-hour videos/DVDs feature a cast of ethnically diverse characters and blend comedy and drama with integrated text materials based on each episode.
