America the Beautiful
Covers history, geography, economy, culture, and government for each of the 50 states plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the major U.S. territories. Photographs, illustrations, maps and audio slide shows are available for each state. Best for elementary - middle school students.

Encyclopedia Americana
Full text encyclopedia of more than 45,000 entries on full range of topics. Especially strong on North American and international coverage, including biographies Also contains news briefs, dictionary, thesaurus, maps, flags, fact boxes, tables and links to web sites. Best for students in grades 8 and up. Coverage: Links to news articles start from 1998 - current. 

Lands and Peoples
Up-to-date information for students in grades 4-12 about countries and cultures throughout the world, with photographs, maps and flags for each. A special section called Culture Cross allows students to compare the land, people, economy, history, or facts and figures of any two continents, countries, or states/provinces online at the same time.
