Guided Nature Walks
- Sundays, 9:30 a.m. & 3:30 p.m., and Saturday, June 1, 9:30 a.m. & 3:30 p.m. Explore the trails at Secret Woods while learning about native South Florida habitats. For all ages. Free.
Yoga - Enjoy Secret Woods while getting fit by joining our instructor-led activity. Schedule varies. Call 954-357-8884 for more information.
Roaming in the Gloaming - Wednesday, June 12, 6 p.m. Join us for a naturalist-led stroll as the sun begins to set along the bonny banks of the New River. $3/person.
- Saturday, June 8, 9 a.m. Volunteers clean up trash, plant native plants, and/or remove non-native invasive plants. Students can earn community service hours for graduation and college scholarships, and others can help improve and preserve the environment. Volunteers should dress appropriately with long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes that can get dirty. Participants should bring gloves, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and drinking water. Extra tools such as shovels, rakes, and hand pruners are welcome. A volunteer form must be filled out in order to participate. Free.
Shells and Claws - Sunday, June 16, 2 p.m. We are shelling out the fun at Secret Woods Scuttle over for crafts and activities, learn about our native crustaceans, and claw around our boardwalk to view them in their natural habitat. Free and for all ages.
Wonderful Reptiles - Saturday, June 15, 10 a.m. Meet some of the native reptiles that call South Florida and Secret Woods home. Free.
Krafting With Kay - Sunday, June 23, 2 p.m. Experience traditional crafts in nontraditional ways with this hands-on crafting workshop for ages 9 and up. Preregistration is required, and there is a $2 donation to the Friends of Secret Woods volunteer group requested.
Jamming in the Park - Sunday, June 23, 1 p.m. Bring your favorite instrument and join in an acoustic music jam. Free.
