INDEPENDENT HANDCYCLING
Central Broward Regional Park & Stadium (Lauderhill)
For ages 18 and up
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last check out at 4 p.m.)
Free. The park's regular weekend and holiday gate entrance fee of $1.50/person (children 5 and under free) will be in effect.
This program is for adults with physical disabilities. Handcycles will be signed out, recumbent or upright, at the park office. The last bicycle check out will be at 4 p.m. User must present a valid state-issued drivers license or identification card as a deposit. For more information, contact the park at 954-357-5400.

MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS
Markham Park (Sunrise)
For ages 6 and up
8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Free. The park's regular weekend and holiday gate entrance fee of $1.50/person (children 5 and under free) will be in effect.
The park’s mountain bike trails (novice and intermediate) are open daily, for bicyclists ages 6 and up. First-time riders must sign a waiver in the park office before using the trails. For more information call the park at 954-357-8868. Accessible from Broward County Transit Route #23.

Quiet Waters Park (Deerfield Beach)
For ages 6 and up
8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Free. The park's regular weekend and holiday gate entrance fee of $1.50/person (children 5 and under free) will be in effect.
The park’s mountain bike trails (novice and intermediate) are open daily, for bicyclists ages 6 and up. First-time riders must sign a waiver in the park office before using the trails. For more information call the park at 954-357-5100. Accessible from Broward County Transit Routes #14 and #48.

OPEN TRACK TRAINING & EVENTS

SOUTH BROWARD WHEELERS BICYCLE CLUB NEW RIDERS RIDE

South Broward Wheelers Bicycle Club is having a New Riders Ride every Sunday in March.  The ride start is at Lester's Diner, 1393 NW 136th Ave, Sunrise, FL.  The rides leave at 7:30 a.m. so it is recommended that you arrive by 7:15 a.m.  The pace is 10-14 mph for 15-20 miles.  The ride leader will provide information on how to ride with a group and how to improve your riding skills.  If you plan to attend, you must call Celia at 954-830-0098 no later than Friday before the ride.

TRAFFIC SAFETY EDUCATION PRESENTATION AND BICYCLE RODEO TRAINING
Tree Tops Park (Davie)
8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This workshop teaches participants how to fit bicycle helmets correctly, bicycle/pedestrian laws and safety tips, defensive walking and bicycling skills, and how to conduct a bicycle rodeo. Participants will ride bicycles to practice the skills they will teach children during rodeos and in other educational settings. BICYCLE AND SAFETY RALLY

The Town of Davie Police Department will make safety cards with photos and finger prints of the children, conduct bicycle safety checks, hand out bicycle safety information and bicycle officers will lead even the smallest bicyclists (with training wheels) on a short ride around the playground. Parents are invited to bring their children and their bicycles for the event. Davie recreation staff will also have bicycle safety information for the children. Food trucks may be on site.
