South Broward Wheelers Bicycle Club is having a New Riders Ride every Sunday in March.  The ride start is at Lester's Diner, 1393 NW 136th Ave, Sunrise, FL.  The rides leave at 7:30 a.m. so it is recommended that you arrive by 7:15 a.m.  The pace is 10-14 mph for 15-20 miles.  The ride leader will provide information on how to ride with a group and how to improve your riding skills.  If you plan to attend, you must call Celia at 954-830-0098 no later than Friday before the ride.

TRAFFIC SAFETY EDUCATION PRESENTATION AND BICYCLE RODEO TRAINING

This workshop teaches participants how to fit bicycle helmets correctly, bicycle/pedestrian laws and safety tips, defensive walking and bicycling skills, and how to conduct a bicycle rodeo. The Town of Davie Police Department will make safety cards with photos and finger prints of the children, conduct bicycle safety checks, hand out bicycle safety information and bicycle officers will lead even the smallest bicyclists (with training wheels) on a short ride around the playground. Parents are invited to bring their children and their bicycles for the event. Davie recreation staff will also have bicycle safety information for the children. Food trucks may be on site.
