Model Steam Train Rides - Third full weekend of the month, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (weather permitting) The Tradewinds & Atlantic Railroad offers rides on one-eighth-scale miniature trains on a half-mile track around a lake. For their own safety, pregnant women are not allowed to ride the train. For all ages, although children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. $1/ride. The park's regular weekend and holiday gate entrance fee of $1.50/person (children 5 and under free) is also in effect. For more information, call the park office at 954-357-8870.
Weekend Farm Tours -. Third full weekend of the month, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The park's educational farm complex was developed to reflect the history of farm activities in Broward County and to educate the public about the farm animals native to this area. The complex also includes a reconstructed farmhouse that once belonged to the site's original owners. For all ages. $3/person. Volunteers Needed!
The Tradewinds Farm Hands meet the third Monday of the month in the park's office. Volunteer opportunities include agricultural education, barnyard assistance, general store/information desk aid, office/special event aid, and stable-hand assistance.
