November 18 - "All About Community Gardens" - Beverly Williams, Master Gardener - Community gardens are sprouting all over South Florida, and this Lauderdale Lakes specialist will enlighten us on the how-tos, as well as the pitfalls, of starting your own community garden. Handouts covering all aspects of the process will be distributed.
December 2 - "Be a Good Angler!" - Kristen Hoss, Founder of Tanawha Presents and Executive Director, Youth Environmental Alliance; and Lisa Kramer, Director, Fish Florida - Wish you could fish? You can! We'll have hands-on, fun learning activities to teach you about fish and what they eat, how to use a fishing rod, how to tie on a hook, and how to catch and release fish. Afterward, we'll fish from the nature center's pier. Bring your own fishing gear or borrow some on site and let's "go fish."
