New Video Highlights Recycling in Condos and Other Multifamily Complexes

Solid Waste and Recycling Services is spreading the word to Broward County residents that recycling is an option in many townhomes, condos and apartment buildings. If you aren't recycling in your complex and would like to go green, check out this recycling video. Labor Day Schedule for Monday, September 1

The Southwest Regional Landfill, located at 7101 S.W. 205 Ave., will be closed.

Regularly scheduled garbage, bulk waste and recycling pick-up will take place in the Unincorporated Communities of Broward County. Residents of all other cities should contact their city or hauler directly for Labor Day collection information.

Broward County Solid Waste and Recycling Services offices will be closed on Labor Day. Check here for a complete Broward County schedule.


Residents Keep 100 Tons of Hazardous Materials Out of the Environment Through Drop-Off Events

Thousands of Broward County residents dropped off more than 200,000 pounds of household hazardous waste and used electronics during nine special drop-off events held between January and May. The drop-off program is a joint venture between the County and 14 participating cities whose goal is to make it more convenient for residents to dispose of toxic waste. Adopt-A-Street Gets a New Look

Adopt A Street signLook for newly designed Adopt-A-Street program signs popping up around town. The Adopt-A-Street program is getting a brand new look, and so are some Broward County streets as volunteers make a clean sweep. So far this year, participants have removed nearly 1,700 pounds of litter from our streets. Find out if your city is participating in Keep Broward Beautiful’s Adopt-A-Street program.
