Yard Waste Collection Guidelines
Broward County > Solid Waste And Recycling Services > Unincorporated > Yard Waste Collection Guidelines

Yard waste will be collected on your bulky waste collection days only. Follow these guidelines to ensure collection.

Note: These items will be collected on your bulky waste collection day only.

  • Loose material such as grass clippings and leaves must be placed in your green garbage cart for regular pick up (or in a tied plastic garbage bag for bulky waste collection).
  • Items such as tree trimmings, branches, palm fronds, tree trunks, logs and limbs should be arranged in a neat pile at the curb.
  • Keep yard waste separated from regular bulky waste items for easier collection.
  • Stack yard waste in orderly piles on the swale (away from mailboxes, trees, fire hydrants, storm drains and other bulky waste piles).
