Broward County Transit
Participates in Fleet Week Port Everglades,
April 28 - May 5, 2014

Active military personnel ride 'free' when boarding with military identification or in uniform
Since 2005, BCT has participated in Fleet Week USA and continues the tradition this year when hundreds of sailors arrive at Port Everglades from April 28 through May 5. All active military personnel ride free when they board in uniform or show their military identification.

As was done over the years, the Broward County Board of County Commissioners adopted the resolution on March 18, 2014 to provide for free bus service. BCT provides naval organizers with route schedules, maps and travel information to Broward County’s key attractions, shopping centers and cultural sites.

The community is encouraged to participate in the public events that are scheduled during the naval visit at Port Everglades. Bus route 40 travels to Port Everglades.

BCT Connected LogoBCT Passengers Can Participate in a Web-Based Customer Feedback Survey for Transit Agencies
The Transportation Research Board (TRB) is sponsoring a study to explore the use of web-based feedback to improve transit service As part of the study, the TRB is interested in understanding how riders would like to communicate with transit agencies, focusing on web-based feedback tools.

The online community site, IdeaScale, at, is available to submit your ideas, vote on other people's ideas, and add comments as part of the discussion.

This forum will be active until April 30, 2014, after which time it will be closed to comments, but left open for people to see the results. The input will be incorporated into a web-based feedback toolkit that will be published by the Transportation Research Board (TRB).

Thanks for your willingness to participate!
